Overview

Antananarivo to Tulear with a hook traveling by train to Manakara, discover the beautiful the scenery of rice fields, herds of zebu, the capital of the Malagasy handicrafts, these villages where life is reborn each passing train, this wonderful channel Pangalanes and parks of Ranomafana and Isalo finally with a rest on the beautiful beaches of Ifaty or Anakao … can also hike in the park Andringitra.

ITINERARY:

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN TANA –HOTEL.

Arrival in Antananarivo.
You will be met at the airport. Transfer to the airport and briefing.

Night at Green Palace Hotel with breakfast.

Day2: TANA – FIANARANTSOA CITY

Today, we have to start early in the morning for a long drive to reach the city of Fianarantsoa for 10 hours on highway N°7. On route, you will spot a variety of highland landscapes including the farmer's local village. Break at Ambositra town for lunch and visit the open woodcraft market where you will see the unique precious woodcraft for house decoration and souvenirs. Will arrive at Fianarantsoa town in the late afternoon then check-in at the Hotel.

Day 3: FIANARANTOA – TRAIN –MANAKARA VILLAGE.

Today, step back in time as you travel by train through eastern Madagascar’s rich forests, tea plantations, and red highlands. Disembark at an exquisite old-style train station in Manakara, before settling in at Hôtel for an overnight stay among the property’s lush gardens.

Day4: MANAKARA – RANOMAFANA PARK.

Spend the morning exploring Manakara’s historical streets before hopping onto a pirogue for a unique glimpse at the gorgeous Canal des Pangalanes. This series of waterways, natural rivers, and man-made lakes wind down the east coast of Madagascar and form a natural wonderland where time stands still. After gliding across the canal’s waters you will be transferred to Ranomafana village.

Day 5: VISIT RANOMAFANA –FIANARANTSOA

Head out on an early morning walk in the sensational Ranomafana National Park – this is the best time of the day to see lemurs, but the park’s tropical rainforest is also a sanctuary for many indigenous bird and frog species. A local guide from the park’s office will show you around this magical wildlife area. After your guided walk, you will be transferred to the city of Fianarantsoa, the cultural and intellectual center for the entire island and the capital for the Betsileo kingdoms. The Betsileo is Madagascar’s third-largest ethnic group and known for its ceremonial tombs in the hills around south-central Madagascar.

You will spend the night at Zomatel, a luxury hotel located within the romantic atmosphere of Fianarantsoa’s old town where you will enjoy its authentic Betsileo hospitality.

Day 6: FIANARANTSOA – ANTSIRABE TOWN

From here, after your good breakfast at the restaurant, we will drive out back on the same road to reach Antsirabe town to where you will have your relaxing time in the hot spring water(thermal).

Day7: ANTSIRABE –ANTANANARIVO- HOME.

Today, we will take you to discover this French-style town of water by visiting the Madagascar precious stones, local factory, and handy craft. This town is known as the city of water and from here is our last day of travel before dropping you off at the airport in Antananarivo.
