Overview

This itinerary will drive you at the discover of Livingstone, the South Luangwa National Park and the wonderful Victoria Falls.

What you will do:

Day 1

LUSAKA (START)

Arrive Lusaka International Airport. You will find the trip leader waiting.
Transfer from Airport to Place of accommodation. In the evening meet the trip leader for a tour briefing.

Day 2

SOUTH LUANGWA N.P

Early morning Transfer to South Luangwa. Along the way we enjoy the changing landscape of Eastern Province of Zambia. Will be able to see the roadside markets and villages.
Accommodation: Camping (Croc Valley Camp)
Activity: Night Game Drive Safari

Day 3

SOUTH LUANGWA N.P

South Luangwa National Park is in east Zambia’s Luangwa River valley. It’s known for its abundant wildlife. The luangwa river is often crowded with hippos. The woodland savannah is home to hundreds of bird species. Trails from the park’s lodges wander past baobab trees, herds of elephants and rare Thornicroft’s giraffes. Spotlights are used to locate the leopard population after dark.

Day 4

LUSAKA

Transfer back to Lusaka after breakfast. Lusaka is the capital of Zambia. In the center, sprawling Lusaka City Market sells clothing, produce and other goods. The National Museum exhibits archaeological finds and contemporary art. Nearby, the Freedom Statue commemorates Zambia’s struggle for independence. South of the city, Munda Wanga Environmental Park has a wildlife sanctuary and botanical garden. The Lilayi Elephant Nursery cares for orphaned elephants.

Day 5

LOWER ZAMBEZI

Transfer to Lower Zambezi. Lower Zambezi National Park is in southern Zambia, on the Zimbabwean border. In the south, the Zambezi River valley is known for abundant wildlife, including buffalo, fish eagles and herds of elephants. Canoes ply the river, which is home to hippos and crocodiles. In the east, the river passes past the striking red cliffs of Mupata Gorge, with its fish-filled waters. North is the steep and rugged Zambezi Escarpment. Accommodation: Room (Mukuyu Camp) Activity: Sunset Boat Cruise

Day 6

LOWER ZAMBEZI (CANOEING SAFARI)

After breakfast we set for a full day guided river coneing. As we puddle down stream will be able to spot wildlife elephants, hippos, bird watching. Break off for bush Lunch on a sand bank or along the river bank.
Accommodation: Camping on the Bone Island Activities: River Coneing

Day 7

LOWER ZAMBEZI N.P

After breakfast we puddle to the launch spot. We get on a 4×4 open jeep safari. We enjoy a full day game drive safari plus a bush lunch. Evening we head back to mukuyu camp with a speed boat during a golden sunsetting over the Zambezi Escarpment.

Day 8

LOWER ZAMBEZI N.P

After breakfast we puddle to the launch spot. We get on a 4×4 open jeep safari. We enjoy a full day game drive safari plus a bush lunch. Evening we head back to mukuyu camp with a speed boat during a golden sunsetting over the Zambezi Escarpment.

Day 9

LIVINGSTONE

After breakfast we transfer to Livingstone via the bottom road. A beautiful panorama view of the Zambezi escapement. Passing a few villages and historic sites ngombe ilede(sleeping cow) baobab tree. Side road markets and craft markets.
Accommodation: Room (Faulty towers) Activity: Sunset watch at the Royal Livingstone Hotel

Day 10

LIVINGSTONE Mosi-o-tunya National Park

After breakfast we head to the mosi-o-tunya national park (home to the white rhinos) for a Rhino walk safari. Afternoon at 4pm pick up from lodge to the jetty for a Zambezi sunset cruise on board you enjoy African live music band, light meals, coctails while cruising along the mosi-o-tunya national park. Wildlife can be spotted such as hippos, elelphants, other animals as they come to drink water.

Day 11

LIVINGSTONE (END)

After breakfast transfer to the Livingstone International Airport.
