Overview

Activity and Accommodation

Day 1:

Pick up from Julius Nyarere airport and transfer to Ramada Resort for overnight B/B

Day 2:

Dar es Salaam – Saadani National Park
In the morning at 0800hrs Pick up from Ramada Resort and drive to Saadani National Park where bush meets the bush via Chalinze/Msata. You will arrive in the early afternoon for lunch at the lodge. At 1400hrs commence an afternoon game drives in the park to look for elephant, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, waterback, lion, leopard, baboon and many more others. You will have dinner & Overnight at Saadan safari lodge. FB (lunch + dinner+Breakfast) 

Day 3:

Full day tour of Saadani National Park.
In the morning at 0800hrs after breakfast, commence a morning and an afternoon game viewing in the park, as the park is not very large, you can return to the lodge for hot lunch or still you can take with you picnic lunch for a day long in the wilderness to see lot of animals. Later evening as the Sun goes down, spend time at the Saadani beach, feeling such an amazing experience, deleting unwanted issues from your heart and download a new app of better life in your heart, return for dinner experience and overnight at the same lodge. FB (breakfast + Lunch + dinner)

Day 4:

Boat Safari OR Walking in the Reserve
Morning at 0800hrs after breakfast go for a boat excursion at the Wami River, which offers the best boat safari in Tanzania to see the flocks of flamingo birds, hippos, crocs and other waterbirds or commence a guides walking tour in the wilderness with an armed ranger guide. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Diner and overnight at the same lodge. 

Day 5:

SAADAN TO ARUSHA

After breakfast you will be transferred to Msata bus station to connect with luxury bus heading to Arusha or You will be transferred to Dar es salaama for your flight to Arusha. Depends with your budget any method of transportation can be arranged. Overnight at Ngaresero lodge B/B

ARUSHA FULL DAY

DAY  8:

Arusha- Serengeti plains

Distance: 335km

Non – game viewing time: 3 – hrs.

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then heard to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage luxury camp. f/b 

DAY  9:

 Serengeti plains full day game drives

Today we wake up early for game drives (driver to assist) and get the chance to spot animals when they are doing their daily activities. Predators like Lions, cheetah can be spotted while hunting. Continue with the game drives and later go back to the tented camp for full breakfast. After breakfast head out for full game drives and get the chance to explore the abundant of animals in the famous Serengeti. Later evening head back to the camp for sundowner dinner and overnight. f/b 

DAY  10:

SERENGETI-Ngorongoro crater- Karatu

After breakfast, you'll depart for Ngorongoro Crater; considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you'll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation. Home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought after safari destinations in the world. It's a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you'll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa's most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas. Later heading to Eileen’s lodge in karatu for diner and overnight. F/B 

DAY  11:

NGORONGORO – Lake Manyara National Park-Airport

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and heading to Lake Manyara National Park. The small park stretches along the 600 m high Rift Valley Escarpment and is dominated by the alkaline Lake Manyara. Many water birds gather at the lake and more than 400 bird species are found in the park. The diverse vegetation provides a habitat for many animals such as monkeys in the forest, giraffes and antelopes on the grasslands and elephants around the acacia trees. If you are very lucky you might also see the Manyara lions, lounging in the trees. In the late afternoon you will leave the Park and heading to Arusha and transfer to airport to connect with your flight to Zanzibar and overnight at Amaan Bungalows hotel B/B

Full relaxation, dinner and overnight at the Hotel. Bed and breakfast

Privacy Policy

Bookings and subsequent contracts shall be deemed to have been concluded in Tanzania and shall be interpreted according to the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. The Company reserves the right to decline any booking without outlining the reasons for it. DEPOSIT & PAYMENT A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking. This deposit forms part of the payment for the trip and shall be offset to the total amount charged to the client/agent. If the full amount is not paid at least six (6) weeks prior to departure, the Company reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled and the deposit shall be forfeited. Clients/Agents booking within six (6) weeks of tour departure are required to pay the full amount immediately to secure the reservation. All bank charges are to be settled by the client or agent respectively. This includes transaction fees charged by our bank. The amount shown on the invoice is the amount that needs to reflect in our account and should bank charges have been deducted, we would have to invoice you subsequently. BOOKING AMENDMENTS For amendments of existing bookings done by the client/ agent (e.g. departure dates, air tickets, accommodation, number of participants etc) a handling fee of 50 USD per booking applies. The handling fee will be charged in addition to the service provider fees. CANCELLATIONS Cancellations must be sent in writing to the office that confirmed the reservation. Cancellations shall only be effective from the date of receipt of cancellation by the booking office. In case of a booking cancellation, the Company shall return the full deposit. If a booking is cancelled the client is subject to a cancellation fee as follows: until 3 months prior to departure – 25% Cancellation Fee 3-2 months prior to departure – 50% Cancellation Fee 2-1 months prior to departure – 75% Cancellation Fee less than a 1 month prior to departure – 100% Cancellation Fee The Company reserves the right to cancel any tour at its sole and absolute discretion, without prior notification in instances where this is unavoidable. However, in that case the Company agrees to refund all monies already paid by the client. This shall be the Company’s sole responsibility to the client and no claim for any damages, howsoever arising, shall accrue against the company. PASSPORTS, VISAS & TRAVEL PAPERS It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure that passports, visas, health certificates, proof of vaccinations and any other documentation required are all in order for the countries to be visited. The Company cannot be held liable for any consequences, damages or claims if the client does not attend correctly to the client’s documentation and related matters prior to commencement of the tour. TRAVEL INSURANCE All customers travelling with Hortensia Adventures are required to have fully comprehensive travel insurance. The policy needs to be valid from the date that the initial order is placed so as to provide cover for a cancellation prior to departure. During travel the insurance needs to provide comprehensive medical, evacuation and repatriation cover. BAGGAGE At any time, all baggage and personal effects are at the client’s responsibility and the Company does not accept any liability for any loss or damage of any personal effects, howsoever arising. Clients are entitled to one bag of not more than 15 kg (backpack or soft bag – no hardtop suitcase) and a daypack. The Company reserves the right to refuse excess baggage. Please notice that on our trekking tours and on some “bush” flights other baggage regulations may apply. RISK The client accepts that all tours are of an adventurous nature and involve an element of personal risk
