DAY 1

ARUSHA    
Soon after we land in Kilimanjaro, our staff will whisk us away to our lodge; surrounded with large lush gardens bordering a beautiful tree plantation and a stream of fresh clear water flowing all year round from the surrounding mountains, providing a unique charm

DAY 2 

ARUSHA – TARANGIRE
After a morning Breakfast we drive to Tarangire National Park. Located in the Great Rift Valley System, Tarangire is known for its massive elephant herds, true sense of wilderness and backdrop of baobabs, we’ll marvel at our first good looks at what is probably one of Africa’s largest population of free-ranging elephants, along with the cape buffalos, impalas, giraffe, zebras, and wildebeest who— in addition to some big cats and two score or more other mammal species—make their domicile in and around the park.

DAY 3 

LAKE MANYARA.

After breakfast you will travel from the Tarangire Area to the Lake Manyara National Park.
The park is known for its over 400 bird species, primate-filled forests and grassy plains. A large area of the park is covered by the alkaline Lake Manyara, the seasonal breeding grounds for large colonies of flamingos and many more waterfowls. The park is also home to giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, impalas and groups of noisy monkeys and baboons. After an extensive game drive you will travel to the lodge, where you will spend the night.

DAY 4 

LAKE MANYARA — NGORONGORO
After  breakfast we make a memorable drive north-west, to the fabled Lost World of the Ngorongoro Crater, a volcanic bowl abounding with life and beauty, unknown to the outside world until 1892 (which helps account for its wealth of wildlife, everything from a burgeoning lion population to fine stands of flamingos). Nomadic cheetah move in and out of the area and leopard are most often encountered in the Lerai Forest. Both golden and black-backed jackal are abundant, while the normally shy and nocturnal serval are frequently spotted during daylight hours

DAY 5

NGORONGORO — SERENGETI
After breakfast, road transfer into the heart of the Serengeti. Lunch en-route at Olduvai Gorge and a view of the archaeological sites (and visit the museum) where early human tools and fossils have been found. Afternoon game drive in the rolling grasslands. Criss-crossed with forested riverine valleys, the Serengeti plays home to millions of Africa’s large mammals, making this one of the world’s most famous wildlife destinations. DAY 6 

SERENGETI 
Daily game drives with your professional guide provides the perfect opportunity to get up close to Africa’s incredible animals. During your stay, you are likely to spot a great variety of wildlife including cheetah, bearded wildebeest, bat eared fox, black rhino, Maasai giraffe, lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and zebra.

DAY 7 

SERENGETI
At Semetu, there are many other activities to partake in. Split your day with game driving and one of the alternate interests.

DAY 8 

DEPARTURE TO ZANZIBAR
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for flight to Zanzibar. Arrive into Zanzibar and meet to transfer to the eastern beaches at Nunguwi. Upon registration, be shown to your room which is full of all the comforts you need for Zanzibar – luxurious bedding, romantic netting, views to the ocean, air conditioning, fans, in room safe and so on. There is a large pool, private beach, boutique, sunset bar and calm waters to explore.

NUNGUWI BEACH
Relax and rejuvenation – be as active or as rested as you prefer.

Privacy Policy

Bookings and subsequent contracts shall be deemed to have been concluded in Tanzania and shall be interpreted according to the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. The Company reserves the right to decline any booking without outlining the reasons for it. DEPOSIT & PAYMENT A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking. This deposit forms part of the payment for the trip and shall be offset to the total amount charged to the client/agent. If the full amount is not paid at least six (6) weeks prior to departure, the Company reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled and the deposit shall be forfeited. Clients/Agents booking within six (6) weeks of tour departure are required to pay the full amount immediately to secure the reservation. All bank charges are to be settled by the client or agent respectively. This includes transaction fees charged by our bank. The amount shown on the invoice is the amount that needs to reflect in our account and should bank charges have been deducted, we would have to invoice you subsequently. BOOKING AMENDMENTS For amendments of existing bookings done by the client/ agent (e.g. departure dates, air tickets, accommodation, number of participants etc) a handling fee of 50 USD per booking applies. The handling fee will be charged in addition to the service provider fees. CANCELLATIONS Cancellations must be sent in writing to the office that confirmed the reservation. Cancellations shall only be effective from the date of receipt of cancellation by the booking office. In case of a booking cancellation, the Company shall return the full deposit. If a booking is cancelled the client is subject to a cancellation fee as follows: until 3 months prior to departure – 25% Cancellation Fee 3-2 months prior to departure – 50% Cancellation Fee 2-1 months prior to departure – 75% Cancellation Fee less than a 1 month prior to departure – 100% Cancellation Fee The Company reserves the right to cancel any tour at its sole and absolute discretion, without prior notification in instances where this is unavoidable. However, in that case the Company agrees to refund all monies already paid by the client. This shall be the Company’s sole responsibility to the client and no claim for any damages, howsoever arising, shall accrue against the company. PASSPORTS, VISAS & TRAVEL PAPERS It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure that passports, visas, health certificates, proof of vaccinations and any other documentation required are all in order for the countries to be visited. The Company cannot be held liable for any consequences, damages or claims if the client does not attend correctly to the client’s documentation and related matters prior to commencement of the tour. TRAVEL INSURANCE All customers travelling with Hortensia Adventures are required to have fully comprehensive travel insurance. The policy needs to be valid from the date that the initial order is placed so as to provide cover for a cancellation prior to departure. During travel the insurance needs to provide comprehensive medical, evacuation and repatriation cover. BAGGAGE At any time, all baggage and personal effects are at the client’s responsibility and the Company does not accept any liability for any loss or damage of any personal effects, howsoever arising. Clients are entitled to one bag of not more than 15 kg (backpack or soft bag – no hardtop suitcase) and a daypack. The Company reserves the right to refuse excess baggage. Please notice that on our trekking tours and on some “bush” flights other baggage regulations may apply. RISK The client accepts that all tours are of an adventurous nature and involve an element of personal risk
