Itinerary For 7 Days Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing Machame Route Tour

Arriving Day: Kilimanjaro International Airport – Arusha.

7 Days mount Kilimanjaro Climbing Machame route tour starts by arriving  at Kilimanjaro International Airport; meet by our knowledgeable driver-guide, after greetings and double-check your bags will transfer you to Moshi/Arusha town (50 minutes’ drive). The briefing will be provided by your Kilimanjaro professional and experienced guide. Your Kilimanjaro guide will also check your climbing equipment. Anything missing can be rented for you.

Day 1: Drive To  Machame Gate, Hike To Machame Camp

From Arusha arriving at the Kilimanjaro national park you will begin your 7-Days Kilimanjaro climbing. From the height of 1830m to 3050m through Montane forest region taking you 5-6 hours to cover 11km from the gate reaching the camp, where you will have overnight.

Day 2: Hike To Shira Camp

As soon as you take your breakfast you will ascend for 4-5 hours through moorland region from the height of 3050m to 3850m which is 5km from the camp. your destination will be at the camp where you will have overnight.

Day 3: Hike To Barranco Camp

early sunrise you will have your morning meals then continue hiking for 1o km from the hut through Semi-desert climate. This is a height from 3850m to 4000m taking you 5-6 hours to the camp where you will have overnight.

Day 4: Hike To Barafu Camp.

after breakfast at the camp you will carry on trekking from 4000m to 4700m high covering 9km from your last destination. This will take you 6-8 hours through Alpine desert to reach the next destination at the Barafu camp, where you will have overnight.

Day 5: Hike To Summit, Descend To Mweka Camp.

Soon after breakfast you will ascend from 4700m to 5895m traveling 5km in 5-7 hours reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will spend some few minutes then descend 13km from the summit to 3090m high in 5-6 hours through Stone scree and ice-capped region. We will stop at Mweka camp where you will have overnight.

Day 6: Descend To The Gate, Drive Back To The Arusha.

The final days of Kilimanjaro climb. On this day after breakfast you will descend down to the gate which is at the height of 1680m traveling 10 km from the camp. It will take you 3-4 hours to reach the gate while passing through mountain forest habitat. at the gate you will be granted a trekking certificate by the authority then you may have a brief celebration with your collides before leaving . Day 7 Arusha To Kilimanjaro Airport.

After breakfast at your hotel today we shall have a short walk around ARUSHA town then transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to connect with your flight. Goodbye!
