Overview

Activity and Accommodation

DAY  1:

ARUSHA TO  TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

In the morning will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha to start your safari to the Tarangire National Park. The park is roughly the size of Luxemburg and covers an area of about 2,600 km². Bush savannah, seasonal swamps and giant baobab trees make up the landscape of this nature reserve and the park is probably one of the best places in East Africa to see elephants. Not only are there thousands, but they are also relatively accustomed to vehicles so you will be able to get really close to them. Apart from elephants, the park is also home to Masai giraffes, various gazelles, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, baboons and more than 500 types of birds. After an extensive game drive you will leave the park in the afternoon and drive to Sun bright campsite or Kizumba campsite for diner and overnight.
Lunch; Dinner.

DAY  2:

TARANGIRE  TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

Accommodation: Seronera Public Camp,

Breakfast, lunch, dinner

DAY  3

SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

Enjoy early breakfast and meet your guide to have a last morning game drive in Serengeti National Park then depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area with en-route game drive and picnic lunch. Ngorongoro is a special conservation area and not a National Park. The whole area is managed for both animals and local Maasai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife

Accommodation: Simba Public Camp

Breakfast, lunch, dinner

DAY 4:

NGORONGORO CRATER  (5 hours game drive) to Arusha

After breakfast, descend into the crater, enjoy 5 hours game drive in the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino.

Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.

Late afternoon drive back to Arusha and drop off at your hotel or Arusha Airport to connect to your flight for the next destination or back home.
