Overview

This trip is one of our best because it combines the best of West and South Malagasy.You will enjoy the culture of Malagasy manners without time constraints. It brings together discoveries, adventures, beautiful beaches and trekking that familiarize you with the landscapes of the West, and allows you a smooth circuit in our seaside stays. From the lagoons of Ifaty to the Tsingy

 

 

Day 1:  Arrival in Antananarivo, welcome at the airport by our guide

 

Day 2: Tana -Antsirabe

Breakfast at the hotel. Direction for the national 7 ; on the program the visit of the workshop of transformation of iron into aluminium in Ambatolampy. Free lunch. Arrival in Antsirabe and opportunity to visit a semiprecious stone cutting and the workshop of the horns of Zebu.

Day 3: Antsirabe -Morondava

A day's drive through a fairly diverse landscape. Crossed by a landscape shaped by the "lavaka" phenomenon and some surprising villages. Located on the banks of the river Mahajilo, one of the tributaries of the river Tsiribihina, Miandrivazo is the starting point for the barge cruise

Arrival in the capital of the Menabe towards the end of the afternoon.

Day 4: Morondava –Bekopaka

Have breakfast very early in the morning, then on your way to Bekopaka. Stop at Tsimafana, port of anchorage of ferries crossing the Tsiribihina. Visitors are invited to Pleasant itineraries on this river up to Belo on Tsiribihina. The lunch break is appreciated once on the spot. The road then continues to the banks of the Manambolo, accessible after four to five hours of track from Belo on Tsiribihina. Once again we board a ferry to Bekopaka. They stay there in a hotel for three nights.

Day 5: Bekopaka

The small TSINGY is easier to reach. But the grand TSINGY is worth a visit, a walk preceded by 17 km of track leads us to the heart of the Grand Tsingy. This vast succession of sharp-edged rocks forms one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Madagascar. Requires good physical condition, climbing is certainly not easy but the beauty of the view is worth the climb.

We return to the starting point at the end of the afternoon.

Day6:  Bekopaka – Morondava

After breakfast, return to the village of Belo on tsiribihina . In the afternoon, arrived in Morondava

Day7: Morondava  -Manja

The adventure on the track starts from here, where the first stage is for 120 Km, to the beautiful fishing village of Manja  famous for manufacturing dhows.

Day 8: Manja - Andavadaoka

After breakfast, we go to the village of Bevoay, and from there we cross the Mangoky River on a ferry. Note that in this part of the island, the baobabs are omnipresent.

Day 9:   Andavadoaka

 Day 10: Andavadoaka - Salary

To follow the tracks of the tanks in zebus, we go on the coastal track on a 4X4. This excursion allows us to cross a huge thorny forest dotted with baobabs. You then arrive at Salary, a seaside village with an amazing charm. Indeed, we inevitably succumb to the white sandy beaches.

Day 11: Salary - Ifaty

We continue along the coastal trail before reaching the seaside resort of Ifaty. After lunch we depart for Tulear, the capital of the Southwest.

Day 12: Ifaty -Tulear -Isalo

Arriving in Tuléar, we immediately take the road to Ranohira and along the road, we stop a little to visit the Arboretum, a botanical garden where was reconstructed the thorny forest that characterizes the whole area located in the south of Madagascar. Several species of chameleons can also be found. Arrived in Ranohira, check in at the hotel.

In the late afternoon, departure to see the sunset at the window of Isalo. A pierced rock through which you can see the sunset and the best thing is the color of the rocks with the reflection of the sun.

Day 13:NATIONAL PARK OF ISALO

 

Meet the guide and drive to the entrance of the park. We will discover natural swimming pools, walls of eroded sandstone of various colors, tombs of the Bara tribe enclosed in stone walls, canyons, blue pool, black pool...and also different types of lemurs.

Day 14: RANOHIRA-AMBALAVAO (210 KM)

 

Departure at 7.30 am from Ranohira to Ambalavao to visit the antemoro papermaking workshop made from the bark of a local plant. The products are papers, envelopes, pictures of paper, photo album etc ... then departure to visit the Anja Park where you can see lemurs. During the ascent and descent, the vegetation changes completely, from the barren and rocky land with all yellow and dry vegetation by fertile soils of the plateau.Dinner and overnight at bougainvillea Hotel.

 

Day 15: AMBALAVAO-RANOMAFANA (100 KM)

 

Departure at 7: 00 am from the hotel for a tour in the National Park Ranomafana with guide, to see different varieties of lemurs, chameleons, butterflies, frogs, spider, birds...

Day 16: RANOMAFANA - ANTANANARIVO

Departure to the capital Antananarivo and transfer to the airport for the next international flight. End of service.

For confirmation of the trip, the agency requires a 30% deposit on the totality of the trip and the rest must be paid 30 days before the departure date of the clients. CANCELLATION 1. Before the trip If the client has to cancel his trip, the sums paid will be refunded subject to the following penalties, depending on the date of withdrawal :  If cancellation more than 3 months before departure: 0% of the total price of the trip  If cancelled 90 to 31 days before departure: 10% of the total price of the trip  From 30 to 21 days before departure: 50% of the total price of the trip  From 20 to 10 days before departure: 75% of the total price of the trip  Less than 9 days before departure: 100% of the total price of the trip 2. During the stay Any trip interrupted, modified or shortened because of the participant and for any reason whatsoever will not give rise to any refund from De Zania Tours. Any modification of your fact implying a change of service (hotels, transport...) or of program (length of stay, stages...) will be invoiced to you.
