5 DAYS MASAI MARA AND THE LAKES, sharing group tour
Day 1
NAIROBI – MASAI MARA
You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel after breakfast and join the rest of the group in our office and then leave for Masai Mara at 08.30hrs. Drive south of Nairobi and after about an hour drive, you will stop at the view point of the Greta Rift Valley for breath taking view of the valley, Proceed to Narok town for Lunch then to Masai Mara arriving in the afternoon . Check into your camp or lodge with soft drink, tea or coffee and have a short rest after the long journey.
Your evening tour to the park will start at 15.30hrs when the sun is not too hot and the animals starts to be active after a hot day. The Game drive will last till sundown when you come back to the camp for dinner and over night.
Self Contained tented camp with attached bathroom and hot shower is available.
Day 2
FULL DAY MASAI MARA
After breakfast, leave your camp with packed lunches for a full day game viewing. Masai Mara is famous for the “Big Five” namely, elephants, Buffaloes, Rhinos, Lions, and the Leopard , spotting them is possible on this long game drive in the park. Lunch will be taken at the bank of Mara river and a walk a long the river trying to see Crocodiles and Hippos is done accompanied with an armed ranger.
Proceed for more game drives till evening when you get back to the camp for dinner and over night.
Thos who may want to visit Masai village can do so this evening but it is an optional activity.
Game drives in the the park.
Day 3
Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru
You will be woken up at 06.00hrs and quickly take tea or coffee and then leave for pre-breakfast game drive. This is done to find the elusive Leopard or catch a glimpse of Lions and cheetahs hunting. The game drive will last about 3 hours when you get to the camp for full breakfast. Leave Masai Mara at around 10.00hrs for Nnakuru with lunch en route arriving in the evening Dinner and over night in a budget hotel.
Since the park is small , camp inside the park is prohibited but we spend the night in a self contained budget hotel.
Day 4
LAKE NAKURU – LAKE NAIVASHA
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and go for a game drive in the park. Lake Nakuru is a small but beatiful park for both bird and animal lovers. It acts as a Rhino sanctuary and spotting both black and white Rhino is almost a must see phenomenom.
The 5 hours game drive in the park including visiting the baboon cliff to see the whole of the lake from above will be enough . Leave the park for Naivasha with lunch en route arriving in the evening. Dinner and over night in a budget hotel.
Day 5
LAKE NAIVASHA- HELL`S GATE – NAIROBI
After breakfast, leave for Lake Naivasha where you have the option to go for a boat ride and just a long the shore of the lake to see variety of birdlife and fishing activity in the lake. After that proceed to Hell1s gate National park where you can choose to either walk or ride a bicycle among the plan game as Zebras,Giraffes and many other animals.
The tour will end end in the after and leave the park for nairobi with lunch en route arriving in the evening.
