Overview

Amboseli
Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”. It is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close.  In particular, nature lovers can explore five different habitats here. These are the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. At the same time visitors can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

ITINERARY
Day 1 Nairobi Tsavo East
Pick up from your hotel in the morning and then drive to Tsavo East national park. The park is famous for its large numbers of elephants and the man eating lions. Dinner and overnight at a tented camp.

Day 2 Tsavo East
Early morning game drive game drive return back to Lodge for breakfast. After breakfast Full day spend in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo and a visit Via Aruba Dam . Meals and overnight at tented camp.

Day 3 Tsavo West – Amboseli
After an early breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive with a visit of Mzima Springs, where you can see hippos and fish in a crystalline clear water. There are possibilities of seeing crocodiles and monkeys. Later proceed to Amboseli National park arriving in time for lunch and check in at a Safari camp. Afternoon game drive within the Amboseli which lies at the floors of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day  4 Amboseli National Park
A full day in this photogenic park. Morning and afternoon game drives.

Amboseli National Park offers you the best opportunity of seeing the critically endangered black rhino, along with a spectacular range of wildlife. The area’s low and well-munched vegetation also ensures that animals are easy to spot. Its very easy to spot lions and you can occasionally watch them stalking their prey.Some of the animals that the visitors can easily see are, Buffalo, cheetah and gazelle, hyena and jackals. All Meals and overnight at a tented camp.

Day 5 Amboseli –Lake Nakuru National park
Pick up from your hotel at 0730 hrs and drive via the scenic Great Rift Valley, A brief stop at the view point to get a view /take photos of the Great Rift Valley viewing sceneries en route arriving to the Lake Nakuru often referred as the pink lake due to its enormous numbers of Flamingos. Lunch is at the flamingo hill camp followed by afternoon game drives.

Day  6 Lake Nakuru Masai Mara
Drive through the Rift Valley to Masai Mara to arrive in good time for lunch.

Late afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at a tented Camp.

Day  7 Masai Mara National Reserve
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5- Optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the best known and most popular reserves in the whole of Africa wildebeest migration you could see thousands of animals, at other times there are still hundreds. The plains are full of wildebeest, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle. regularly seen are leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes. Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance.

Day  8 Masai Mara – Nairobi
Morning game drives then proceed to Nairobi to arrive Drop off at the airport
